With the commercial version of ProTop, it is possible to generate alerts when a metric passes a defined threshold.
To set up an alert on a metric listed in the articles linked below, make note of the:
- data collector name in quotes at the top of the article
- alertable metric name
- the data type and then
- visit Alert Configuration
NOTE: Many but not all of the alertable metrics are visible in the ProTop Real-Time Monitor. Those that are visible are discussed in the various pages in the Panel Details section under ProTop Real-Time Monitoring. All of the alertable metrics can be found in the articles listed below.
