What does it mean? What do I do about it?
Example alert from the ProTop Portal:
What does it mean?
This alert is triggered only in environments using OE Replication. It tells you you have a replication-enabled database for whom after-image files are not being replicated to the target database(s) promptly. This may be, among other things, due to replication communications being down or the application of AI notes to the target(s) slowing down for some other reason (too much AI for the current pica value?).
What to do?
- Are all of the dbs up?
- Check your database log files.
- Check alerts on the ProTop Portal for this database.
- Check your replication status:
dsrutil <sourcedb | targetdb> -C status -verbose
They should be "Normal Processing." otherwise, investigate the status you are seeing.
Restart replication
Restart your replication agent(s) and server to re-establish replication communications, which should initiate the synchronization and eventually unlock the AI files.
If all else fails...
