What does it mean? What do I do about it?
Example alert from the ProTop Portal:
What does it mean?
This alert lets you know that this database has an extent approaching the maximum physical size allowed. Individual database extents are limited to 1TB. Should an extent reach this limit, there is no recovery other than "restore and roll forward."
What to do?
Resize your extents. If the current large extent(s) are variable, they should be converted to a fixed length and a new variable extent added. Extents can be resized through a backup and restore using a new structure file or dump & reload.
