Portal Release Notes - 5.0.1
This release brings a broad set of customer-facing fixes and improvements across login and access, alerts and dashboards, administration workflows, outage handling, resource management, and overall UI polish in ProTop 5.
IMPROVEMENT |
DESCRIPTION |
Bug fix |
Login, password reset, and access-related flows are more reliable. Password reset no longer returns a server error, and several access-related issues were improved so the portal behaves more predictably after sign-in. Role-based visibility was also tightened. |
Bug fix |
User and role administration works more consistently. Creating users and site administrators is more reliable, and role-handling behavior was cleaned up to reduce permission-related confusion during user setup and management. Profile validation was also strengthened so invalid name values are no longer accepted. |
Improvement |
Resource administration now provides clearer information. Resources created from the client now appear correctly in the portal, resource-related administration views refresh more reliably, and site/resource data displays more consistently. This release also adds the HB Age column to the Resources administration view, giving admins more useful health context directly in the table. |
Bug fix |
Alerts and Alert Drill Down behave more reliably. Several fixes improve how alerts load, refresh, and stay in context. Returning to Alert Drill Down now preserves and reloads selections more reliably, live mode refreshes immediately when re-enabled, and default alert loading after login is more stable. |
Improvement |
Monitoring views are smoother and easier to use. Infinite scrolling on alerts-related pages now loads additional results earlier, chart interactions on standard dashboards behave more smoothly, and several display issues in monitoring and drill-down views were corrected. These changes make investigation workflows feel faster and more predictable. |
Bug fix |
Form validation is stricter across key administration workflows. Multiple forms now handle required fields and invalid input more consistently, including SMTP configuration, portal configuration settings, profile updates, and outage-related workflows. This reduces cases where incomplete or whitespace-only values could previously be saved. |
Bug fix |
Outage scheduling and maintenance-related behavior is more consistent. Outage handling was improved so timezone behavior is more accurate, invalid scheduling cases are handled better, and maintenance actions now surface correctly in the portal where expected. This makes outage planning and maintenance tracking more dependable for administrators. |
Improvement |
General UI polish and consistency were improved. This release includes usability and presentation updates across the portal, including better dark-mode readability, clearer hover behavior in collapsed navigation, improved persistence of selected filters and context, and cleaner feedback in several admin and alerts screens. |
Bug fix |
System-generated behaviors are more dependable. Several backend-driven portal actions were stabilized, including site deletion, maintenance-related flows, portal-side synchronization behavior, and system feedback tied to operational changes. Together, these fixes help reduce misleading errors and improve confidence in day-to-day administration tasks. |
