ProTop RT includes several demo programs to help you simulate bad application behavior allowing you to demonstrate how ProTop can used to identify and root out such behavior.
Start protop against a copy of the OpenEdge sports2000 database. The database name must be "sports2000," "s2k," or "bigsports."
Enter the dot key (aka period) immediately followed by a question mark (?) to reveal this menu:
As indicated, a period command key followed by a period command key will make the "Dot" menu sticky, which means only the commands shown on the ProTop "Dot" Help menu above will be applied by protop. E.g. ? (no . necessary) will bring up the menu above, not the normal ProTop RT help menu.
To unstick the menu, repeat the steps you used to make it sticky: . followed by .
Now, you can again execute the normal ProTop RT command keys.
As indicated, have a look at <protopdir>/ s2k_demo for more detailed description of the demo programs.
