Alert: asCurrQ num > 50

What does it mean? What do I do about it?

Example alert from the ProTop Portal:

What does it mean?

This alert tells you that the request queue length has exceeded 50 for the given application server.

What to do?

Please review your app server metric trends and the ProTop RT Classic App Server panel (A).  Is this a spike?  Is this value creeping up over time?  It may be time to add more app server capacity or balance the load better.

If this queue length is normal for this app server, and requests are still being served promptly, you can increase the threshold on this alert to a level that better reflects activity of more interest to you.
